Help Improve the Health of Women, Infants, and Children in Our Communities
Blue Valley Community Action Partnership is seeking a compassionate, organized healthcare professional to join our WIC team as a Competent Professional Authority (CPA). This position plays a vital role in improving the health and nutrition of pregnant women, infants, children, and families by providing nutrition assessments, individualized education, and support through the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Program.

What You'll Do
- Conduct health and nutrition assessments to determine WIC eligibility and nutritional risk.
- Provide individualized nutrition and health education to WIC participants.
- Counsel families on healthy eating, breastfeeding, and wellness practices.
- Assist participants in selecting WIC food packages that best meet their nutritional needs.
- Refer clients to community and medical resources when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Schedule appointments, order supplies, and assist with daily WIC office operations.
- Participate in community outreach and promote WIC services throughout the service area.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess one of the following:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Nebraska license (or compact state license), or
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active Nebraska license (or compact state license), or
- Registered Dietitian, or
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutritional Science, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, or Home Economics/Consumer & Family Sciences with an emphasis in Nutrition.
Additional qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and access to an insured vehicle.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively as part of a team.
