Management Information Specialist I

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Management Information Specialist I to join our team. This technical and specialized role is responsible for managing, collecting, and ensuring the quality of consumer data for our agency. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, skilled in data entry and reporting, and committed to accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, enter, and maintain consumer service data in BitFocus and other tracking systems.

• Ensure data quality through monthly checks and timely reporting.

• Support staff by reinforcing training on BitFocus and consumer data systems.

• Assist the Management Information Specialist II with reporting and data quality tasks.

• Attend local and state training sessions and provide follow-up support for agency users.

• Communicate professionally with staff, consumers, volunteers, and community partners.

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold BVCA’s mission, policies, and standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and consumer databases.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.

• Effective oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with data quality assurance.

• Familiarity with BitFocus or similar consumer data systems.

• Experience working with diverse populations.
