Health & Safety Manager
We're Hiring: Health & Safety Manager
Location: Blue Valley Community Action Partnership – Children’s Services
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Are you passionate about creating safe, healthy environments where young children and families thrive? Join our team as the Health & Safety Manager and lead critical services that support the well-being of pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and preschoolers across our Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee and coordinate comprehensive health, mental health, nutrition, and safety services across multiple sites
Supervise a dedicated team of health and safety professionals
Provide training, consultation, and expertise to staff, families, and community partners
Monitor compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, state licensing, and agency policies
Promote reflective practices and staff well-being initiatives
Build strong partnerships with health providers and emergency response teams
Support children and families with health-related needs, from screenings to medical treatment plans
What We’re Looking For:
A nursing background is highly preferred (LPN or RN)
Strong leadership and supervisory experience
Working knowledge of early childhood health and safety standards
Ability to balance administrative tasks with hands-on service delivery
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
