RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
SUPERVISION 30% - Under the direction of the Center Supervisor, provide direct supervision to Teacher Aides and support the professional development of all Teacher Aides.
Directly supervise classroom TA’s in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures and in collaboration with the Center Supervisor. Responsibilities include: interviewing, orientation/training, monitoring, coaching/mentoring, assessing work performance.
CLASSROOM SUPPORT 20% - Provide technical assistance, mentoring and educational support to Teacher Aides.
Conduct regular classroom observations and provide support in each classroom
Monitor and coordinate staff scheduling and classroom ratios.
Assist in orienting volunteers and providing guidance as needed
MANAGEMENT (compliance) 30% - Under the direction of the Center Supervisor and appropriate Component Officer, ensure adherence to program policies and procedures.
Assist the Center Supervisor to oversee classroom practices and child outcomes
Work cooperatively with other component officers to help plan education services integrated with health, behavioral health, dental health, nutrition, parent involvement, and social services.
In cooperation with the FA team, provide direction for the ERSEA process. Provide leadership and supervision of ERSEA policies and procedures.
Manage building, equipment/supply, and inventory tasks.
ADMINISTRATION 20% - Assist the Center Supervisor to ensure the operation of a quality early childcare program.
Perform assigned clerical duties
Serve as person in charge when the supervisor is out of the building.
Participate in staff and/or interagency meetings as needed; may participate in Education meetings and self assessment
May help coordinate parent/teacher conferences, PFCE activities, Community partnerships and activities, transition activities or other extracurricular activities
Assist Center Supervisor to maintain state licensing requirements
